Horse Barn Volunteer

Volunteers must be a leader for one session (8 weeks) before having the opportunity to become a barn aide. feeders � horse feeders have a year round responsibility. they are responsible for feeding horses, mucking stalls and other duties as assigned by the barn manager.. Specialize in certain horse care volunteer duties. horse care volunteer duties daily handling and care of horses. maintaining a neat stable area, including house keeping & janitorial duties. o cleaning bathrooms, lounge, office, feed room, tool rooms & barn area o cleaning stalls, shed & paddocks. o cleaning tack & other equipment.. Volunteers are managed by our barn staff and volunteer coordinator. for more information on becoming a barn volunteer, contact us. due to the fact that many of our horses need some level of rehabilitation due to their individual circumstances, riding the horses is not part of our current volunteer program.. You will come to the barn for your scheduled training. please come ready to work with weather appropriate clothing and shoes.4. once your training is complete you are ready to volunteer at the devoted barn!*training slots are subject to change. these training sessions are mandatory in order to volunteer..
